is this linkstick absolutely required?

Can anyone tell me what is so special about this Samsung - LinkStick ? Is it not possible to attach a USB wifi and connect to the router? Is there some proprietary code that only works with the player that is "worth" $80?

You can put straight the programs by size, see what is taking up the most space and delete what you don't use. It's really up to you what you decide to delete from your PC, no one knows...
